Woman Crush Wednesday

I first met Heather at College way way back. She was someone I admired from a far as I was too shy to introduce myself. She was beautiful and extremely talented at pretty much everything and still is! She continues to shine and now it's through her Jewellery. Have you checked out her page yet, have you have you? :P Go back to that link above! Go Go Go Go Go Jetter!

We both studied Art (different classes, boo!) and she was also a drummer like me! I remember just watching her from a distance one day in a student lounge area sketching this stunning image of a tiger. Another day she was rocking away with her drum sticks. I quietly watched her from across the room day by day, wishing she was my friend haha and becoming more and more jealous of her talents!

Through friends I eventually did get to talk to her properly and I built up the courage to ask her to model for me. At first she didn't seem so sure... Probably cause I looked like this!

'You don't know it yet, but we're BFF's now.'

But I asked again and we decided to shoot in her college apartments basement where people couldn't see. The results were amazing and I've pestered her ever since to help me out with more shoots.

The first photo's I took of Heather in 2007

Without her help, I don't think my photography would be at the level it is today. She helped me create different shoot ideas and was such a natural in front of the camera that it made my job so easy! Which later helped me to direct other models using her poses.

Heather quickly got snapped up by other photographers and really blossomed as a Model working under the name 'Kittie Racchea'. This is when she started making her own jewellery for shoots!

BlackMilk

One day Heather asked me where I got my banging leggings from and I introduced her to Black milk clothing, with its cult following and 'sharkie life'.

From this point we spoke daily. She became my go to girl for fashion, hair advice and well pretty much everything! I think I even ended up buying even more BlackMilk  just so I could share that excitement with her or just for an excuse to talk to her more haha! I was like a proper little fan girl. She really is my girl crush!

Fan Girling.

love to sing, not that I'm partially good at it lol. One day invited people on facebook to come join me on an app called Sing! When Heather joined me on the app I was in awe. It was another talent I didn't know she had that I was blown away by. She was very shy about her singing but I told her her voice needed to be heard!

She later joined the Gothic Punk Rock band called 'Lesbian Bed Death' as lead singer. I was able to fan girl her some more :P and was later invited to play the 'victim' in their Dexter themed music video 'Dark Passenger', where I spent a good 5 or so hours cling filmed to a table!! lol. I can't act to save my life and kept giggling when I had to scream. I believe the video now has over 12k views!

Jewellery Designer

Now I enjoy watching Heather grow as a silversmith. With each piece her creations get more and more beautiful. If I could just have a lottery win so I can buy all her makes, that would be awesome! I mean LOOK AT THESE!
